Members of the Wolverine Wrestling Club competed at Saturday’s Battle of the Burg tournament, a youth wrestling event in Spartanburg featuring more than 400 wrestlers across all age divisions.
CHAMPIONS
Allister “Goose” Dominguez won the 4U 43-pound division, pinning all three opponents. Tiernan Hanna claimed two championships, winning the 12U 90-pound division and the Middle School 83/90-pound division with three pins in each bracket. Josh Odel won the Middle School 106-pound division with two pins while Jax Gosnell captured the Middle School 132/138-pound title with two pins.
Dominic Ramirez won the 8U 56-pound championship with three pins and one decision. Zeke Wilson and Asa Wilson each claimed titles, with Zeke winning the 8U 76-pound division and Asa taking the 8U 88-pound championship. Kellan Dedmon won the 10U 56/60-pound title with four victories, and Conor Henson captured the 10U Novice 110-pound division.

Boaz Wilson won the 12U 113/120-pound championship, and Coalden Cehan claimed the Middle School 113/120-pound title.
RUNNER-UP FINISHES
Kade Wilson placed second in the 12U 90-pound division, Ryan Nelon finished second in the Middle School 215/heavyweight division, Isaac Whitley took second in the 12U 150/157-pound division and Eric Ramirez placed second in the Middle School 98-pound division.
THIRD-PLACE FINISHES
Evan Taylor finished third in the 12U 83-pound division, Eric Ramirez placed third in the 12U 98-pound division, Isaac Whitley took third in the Middle School 150/157-pound division and Bartholomew Watkins finished third in the 8U Novice 72-pound division.
