Five Polk County players have been named to the All-Western Highlands Conference basketball squad, with senior Bailey Staton named the girls Player of the Year.
Staton and sophomores Reeve Carroll and Amiyah Waters earned selection to the All-WHC girls squad while seniors Aaron Jackson and Khristian Littlejohn were named to the all-conference boys team.
Staton averaged more than 27 points per game in leading Polk County to a 20-7 record and the third round of the state 3A playoffs. It marks her third conference player of the year selection after being named the Mountain Foothills 7’s top player as a freshman and junior.

Staton and Littlejohn were also named to the conference’s All-Tournament team.
