Polk County’s wrestling team won all five of its matches Saturday at the Wolverine Duals tournament to improve to 7-0 in dual matches this season.
The Wolverines defeated Kings Mountain 48-31, Andrews 63-3, Lake Norman 36-25, Shelby 50-21 and South Caldwell 46-33.
Silas Amorelli went 5-0 on the day at 106 pounds, winning four matches by pin and one by technical fall. Jaxtyn Virgil (157) also finished 5-0, claiming four pins and one technical fall. Zalen McCraw (175) went 5-0 with four pins and one forfeit win, while Tanner McKinney (285) posted a 5-0 record with four pins and one decision victory.

Isaiah Staley (215) went 4-1 with three pins, Amon Villarreal (138) finished 4-1 with four pins and Zachary McCraw (165) was 4-1 with one pin, two decisions and one major decision.
Styler Blackwell (190) went 4-1 at 190 pounds with three pins. Liam Jackson posted a 3-2 record at 126 pounds with one pin and one major decision. Conner Ahlert (138/144) finished 2-3, Alex Labreche (144/150) went 2-3 with one pin and one technical fall, and Jayden Pons (126/132) was 1-3 with one technical fall.
Carson Bell won by injury default in his lone match at 165 pounds against Kings Mountain, and Dean Holland won by forfeit in his only match at 150 pounds against Andrews.
Polk County travels to East Henderson on Tuesday for a tri-match with the Eagles and Chase.
