Polk County places fourth in Wells Fargo Conference Cup race

Polk County concluded its first season in the Mountain Foothills 7 Conference with a fourth-place showing in the Wells Fargo Conference Cup standings.

The Wells Fargo program recognizes all-around athletic excellence by awarding points based on conference finish and participation for all varsity sports.

R-S Central captured the MF7 Conference Cup, taking advantage of a strong spring season to finish with 642.5 points, just ahead of Hendersonville’s 635.

Brevard finished third at 588.5 points, with Polk County next at 542.5 points. The Wolverines claimed one conference title this season, that in boys track.

Patton (505), East Rutherford (492.5) and Chase (427.5) rounded out the conference standings.
