The new schedule for Polk County athletic events affected by recent winter weather is beginning to come into focus.
Here are new dates and times for a handful of events involving Polk County teams:
Basketball: Polk County will host Madison on Thursday in a makeup of games originally scheduled last week.

Junior varsity boys action will begin at 4:30 p.m.
Indoor Track and Field: The Western Highlands Conference Championships will be held Thursday at Tryon International Equestrian Center.
The meet will begin at 4 p.m. There will be other schools participating as well, but WHC schools will be scored against one another.
Wrestling: Polk County will host Surry Central on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the opening round of the state 3A dual team playoffs.
Weigh-ins will begin at 4:30 p.m.
North Wilkes and Hendersonville will also wrestle at 5:30 p.m. The winners will then meet in the second round.
