
MF7 basketball: Polk girls home, boys on road for tournament openers
Polk County’s girls basketball team will host Patton on Monday in the opening round of the Mountain Foothills 7 Conference Basketball Tournament.
Pairings for the league’s annual postseason event were announced Saturday.
The Wolverine girls finished tied for third with Brevard, but lost a draw and received the fourth seed. Fifth-seeded Patton will visit Polk on Monday for a 6:30 p.m. matchup.
The Polk boys finished seventh in the conference and will travel to second-seeded R-S Central on Monday at 6 p.m.
The tournament semifinals will be held Wednesday at Hendersonville, with the championship games set for Friday at Hendersonville.
