Polk County’s girls golf team battled players from two other schools during a tri-match Monday at Tryon Country Club.
Hendersonville and Owen battled the Wolverines, with the Bearcats winning the day with a team score of 136. Polk County finished with a 192 while Owen only had one player competing.
Hendersonville’s Hunter Hill took medalist honors with a 4-over-par 41, three shots ahead of teammate Alexandra Mills.
Kaylin Jenkins led Polk County with a 61, followed by Emily Prince’s 63 and Caelan Gaul and Tori Thompson each with 68.
The Wolverines are scheduled to be back in action again Tuesday at Mount Mitchell Country Club.
