Wolverines slam Brevard to net fourth straight win

Polk County ran its winning streak to four matches Thursday with an 8-1 victory over Brevard in a Mountain Foothills 7 Conference road match.

The Wolverines wrapped up the match during singles play, winning five of the six contests, then swept doubles to improve to 4-3 overall, 4-0 in conference action.

Polk County returns home Monday to host R-S Central before traveling Tuesday to face defending state champion and conference co-leader Hendersonville.
