
Polk County state tennis champions Hannah Jenne and Tana Harris received their championship rings Thursday during a ceremony at halftime of Polk County’s boys basketball game with Mountain Heritage.
Jenne and Harris captured the 1A state doubles championship in October, defeating Claire Rogers and Lydia Cortes of Bishop McGuinness 6-3, 6-4 in the 1A title match in Cary. It marked the first doubles championship in school history.
Polk County athletic director Rex Wells presented the championship rings to Jenne and Harris.
