Polk County's 2018 girls tennis squad

Polk County completed its tuneup for Western Highlands Conference play with a 9-0 victory over West Henderson on Wednesday in girls tennis action in Mills River.

The Wolverines, who travel to Avery on Thursday for their WHC opener, improved to 4-4 with the win.

“Well played match by all,” said Polk County head coach Richard Davis. “We are not quite where we want to be but we continue to work hard and get better. We’ve still got to get tougher mentally and clean up our unforced errors.”

Polk County completed a season sweep of West Henderson, having defeated the Falcons 7-2 in the season opener.
