Polk County’s girls tennis team returned to the courts Tuesday and recorded a 7-2 victory over R-S Central in a Mountain Foothills 7 Conference match in Rutherfordton.

The Wolverines had not played a match since their season-opening win over Owen on August 13. But Polk showed no rust in taking five of the six singles matches, clinching the team victory, before closing with two doubles wins.

Cate Brown, Tali Thompson and Mia Wolfe each recorded both singles and doubles wins.
