
Polk County rolled Wednesday to a 9-0 victory over Avery in a Western Highlands Conference girls tennis match in Newland.
The Wolverines improved to 2-1 with the win.
Polk dominated the match, with four singles wins by 10-0 scores and also notching a doubles shutout victory.
The Wolverines return home Tuesday to face Mountain Heritage in a rescheduled doubleheader.
