
Polk County will host Highland Tech in the first round of the state 1A dual team girls tennis playoffs.
The Wolverines (13-2) will host the Rams (7-4) on Wednesday at 4 p.m. according to pairings released Monday by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association.
The winner of Wednesday’s match will advance to face Lincoln Charter on October 24. Lincoln Charter won the Southern Piedmont Conference title, with Highlands Tech finishing second in the conference.
