
Patton eked out a 5-4 win Tuesday over Polk County in a Mountain Foothills 7 Conference girls tennis match in Morganton.
The Panthers (6-5, 3-4) won four of the day’s six singles matches and picked up a key doubles win to secure the victory.
The Wolverines (4-5, 4-2) played without senior Cameron Ward, sidelined with an illness.
Polk County returns to action Wednesday, journeying to face East Rutherford in another league matchup.
