
Polk County’s girls tennis team continues to grow more competitive even if the final scores aren’t quite reflecting that just yet.
The Wolverines dropped a 9-0 decision Tuesday to Patton in a Mountain Foothills 7 Conference home match.
Polk County (2-6) nearly picked up a win at No. 2 singles, where Katie Campuzano-Gomez fell in a tiebreaker, and had several other close matches.
The Wolverines are back in action on Wednesday, hosting East Rutherford in a 4 p.m. conference clash.
