Patton nets conference win over Polk County

Polk County’s girls tennis team continues to grow more competitive even if the final scores aren’t quite reflecting that just yet.

The Wolverines dropped a 9-0 decision Tuesday to Patton in a Mountain Foothills 7 Conference home match.

Polk County (2-6) nearly picked up a win at No. 2 singles, where Katie Campuzano-Gomez fell in a tiebreaker, and had several other close matches.

The Wolverines are back in action on Wednesday, hosting East Rutherford in a 4 p.m. conference clash.
