Polk County eked out a tough conference win on the road Tuesday, slipping past Mountain Heritage 5-4 in a Western Highlands Conference match in Burnsville.

The Wolverines (7-1, 2-0) won two of three doubles matches to secure the win. Hannah Jenne and Tana Harris earned an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles and Haven Dufford and Ava Marino won 8-6 at No. 2 doubles for the deciding point.

Jenne (10-2), Alicia Twitty (10-6) and Bella Marino (10-6) each won their singles matches.

The Wolverines host West Henderson on Wednesday at 4 p.m. in a non-conference match.
