Brevard’s girls tennis team demonstrated its depth and talent Tuesday, sweeping all six singles matches en route to a 6-0 non-conference victory over Polk County.
The Blue Devils (7-1) controlled play throughout the afternoon, with Sophie Owen setting the tone at No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Polk County’s Cate Brown.
Brevard’s Lila Hipp claimed a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles over Paige White, while Hannah Wallace secured a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles against Virginia Then.

Charlotte Barlow added a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles over Malia Robinette. Aspen Latter followed with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph at No. 5 singles against Addie Buss while Ella Monk completed the sweep with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Evangeline Petoia at No. 6 singles.
Doubles matches were not played.
The loss drops Polk County to 1-2 on the season, with the Wolverines looking to rebound when they return to Western Highlands Conference play on Thursday at Hendersonville.
