Wolverine girls soccer program celebrates season at banquet

Polk County’s girls soccer team celebrated its successful 2019 season Friday with an end-of-season awards banquet in the school cafeteria

Polk County’s girls soccer team celebrated its successful 2019 season Friday with an end-of-season awards banquet in the school cafeteria.

The Wolverines finished 13-5-2 and advanced to the 1A state quarterfinals for the first time since 2008, falling 2-0 to eventual state champion Union Academy.

Senior Reese Alley was recognized for being named to the North Carolina Soccer Coaches Association all-state team.
