Waldman earns All-WNC recognition
Recent Polk County graduate Ella Waldman has earned All-Western North Carolina recognition from the Citizen-Times in Asheville.
Waldman received a spot on the All-WNC girls soccer second team as a defender. She joined Hendersonville’s Aubrie Retzbach and Melodi Van’t Hoff, both first-team selections, as the only Mountain Foothills 7 Conference players on the list.
West Henderson junior Marianne Maxon was named the All-WNC Player of the Year, with West coach Brian Brewer named the area’s top coach.
