Waldman, Akers help Polk Middle break into win column

Sydney Waldman and Belen Akers each scored two goals Monday to lead Polk County Middle to a 7-0 win over Brevard in Blue Ridge Middle School Conference girls soccer action.

Five different Wolverines scored as Polk Middle earned its first win of the season, improving to 1-2.

Sydney Metcalf, Ava Marino and Mireya Roman each scored for Polk Middle, who return to action Tuesday, visiting Hendersonville Middle.
