Polk County Middle School’s girls soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to five matches Thursday, claiming a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Flat Rock Middle in Blue Ridge Conference action.
The Wolverines (6-3-1) received goals from Kenley Savaia and Amberina Jenne to secure their fourth win in the last five contests, with the other result being a draw.
The victory keeps Polk County firmly positioned in the upper tier of the conference standings heading into the final week of the regular season.

Polk County Middle begins its final week of regular season play on Monday, hosting Rugby Middle at 4:30 p.m. at Utz Field.
