Kenley Savaia scored four goals in Thursday's win at Rugby Middle

Kenley Savaia scored all four goals Thursday as Polk Middle steamed to a 4-1 victory over Rugby Middle in a Blue Ridge Conference match in Mills River.

The Wolverines are now 9-1 entering the final three matches of the season, the first of those Monday at home against Apple Valley. The Raiders fell to 1-10.

Savaia’s first goal came off a feed from Arie Parmalee.

“The team played really well for as hot as it was,” said Polk Middle head coach Jessica Marrow. “Everyone stepped up and played tough in the heat. Also a huge shout out to Leah Savaia and Jill Brown for always stepping in and always playing great defense.”
