Polk County Middle earned its third win in four games on Tuesday, topping Rugby Middle 3-1 in Blue Ridge Conference girls soccer action in Mills River.

The Wolverines (5-3) built a 3-0 lead before Rugby scored in the final two minutes of the match.

Leah Dotson opened the scoring off an assist from Reeve Carroll, then set up the second goal with a free kick that Charley Dusenbury converted to give the Wolverines a 2-0 advantage.

Dotson then capped the scoring with a goal off a free kick.

Polk Middle is set to wrap up its recent road trip on Monday, traveling to Waynesville Middle for a 4:30 p.m. match.
