Polk Middle blanks Flat Rock in home opener

Polk County Middle earned its first win of the season Monday, topping Flat Rock Middle 1-0 in Blue Ridge Conference girls soccer action at Utz Field.

Kylie Lewis scored the winning goal for the Wolverines, converting on a pass from Grace Suttles, in Polk Middle’s first home match of the season.

Polk Middle (1-2) returns to action on Wednesday, traveling to face Brevard Middle in a 4:30 p.m. match.
