2016 2A soccer playoffs: Polk seeded 10th, to host Lincolnton in opener

Polk County is seeded 10th and will host Lincolnton in the first round of the state 2A girls soccer playoffs, according to official brackets released Monday by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association.

The Wolverines (14-4) will host the 23rd-seeded Wolves (11-8-1) in Wednesday’s first round at 6 p.m. Tickets for all playoff games are $6, and the only passes accepted for students or adults are NCHSAA passes.

Lincolnton finished tied for fourth in Southern District 7.

If the Wolverines win Wednesday, Polk County would face the winner of No. 7 R-S Central and No. 26 West Wilkes in Saturday’s second round.
