
Alyssa Climer scored two goals Thursday to lead Polk County to a 6-0 win over Mitchell in a Western Highlands Conference soccer match in Ledger.
Five different Wolverines scored goals as Polk County improved to 11-3 overall, 8-1 in WHC play. Mitchell fell to 2-10, 1-7.
Ashley Love, Sammie Firby, Caroline Lee and Addie Lynch all scored for the Wolverines. Love had three assists, with Rhian Alley, Lee, Firby and Lynch adding assists.
Polk County’s junior varsity also came home a winner, taking a 2-0 triumph. Baylee Love scored two goals, with assists from Abby Amato and India Branham.
The Wolverines return to action on Wednesday, hosting Owen in another WHC match. Junior varsity play begins at 5 p.m.
