Polk County senior Reese Alley has been selected to play in the 2019 East-West All-Star Game in July in Greensboro.
Alley will join North Carolina’s top girls soccer players in the game, slated for July 16 at MacPherson Stadium, home of the Carolina Dynamo and Greensboro College’s men’s soccer team.
Polk County officials made the announcement of Alley’s section at halftime of Wednesday’s game with Madison. She is the first Wolverine selected for the East-West game since Sammie Firby in 2015.
A four-year starter for Polk County, Alley is already the school’s career record holder for assists with 68. She has 41 career goals, with 15 goals and 19 assists this season.
Alley plans to play soccer collegiately at MIT.
