Polk County's Bianca Pitts draws a foul from Patton's Julia Civitello while driving to the basket during the second half of Friday's game

Polk County kept Patton scoreless for the first nine minutes of Friday’s matchup en route to a 64-12 victory over the visiting Panthers in a Mountain Foothills 7 Conference matchup.

The Wolverines (11-7, 5-2) built a 19-0 lead before Patton (2-17, 1-6) finally got on the scoreboard with 6:59 left in the second quarter. Polk County led 30-6 at the half and built the lead to 55-8 by the end of the third period.

Bailey Staton had 17 points to lead Polk County, with Kylie Lewis adding 14 and Kiera Littlejohn scoring 11. Charley Dusenbury added eight points, with Mia Bradley scoring seven.

Jayden Duncan had five points and Brianna Gray and Bianca Pitts each added one for the Wolverines.

Polk County travels Tuesday to Hendersonville for a matchup of two of the top three teams in the MF7.
