Polk County’s junior varsity girls basketball team dropped a pair of non-conference games this week, falling to East Henderson 47-11 on Monday in Flat Rock and to Brevard 35-18 on Tuesday at home.
Against East Henderson, the Eagles built a 17-7 halftime lead and pulled away in the second half. Lucy Tessnair led the Wolverines with seven points, while Sofie Abrahamsen and Kaiah Miller each added two.
Against Brevard, the Blue Devils led 14-6 at halftime and maintained control throughout. Tessnair again paced Polk County with 11 points. Kendall Taylor added three, while Camdyn Israel-Garrett and Audy Simmons each scored two.

Polk County (0-3) travels to Owen on Friday for a Western Highlands Conference game.
