Polk Middle's Honesty Jackson

Hendersonville Middle kept Polk County Middle’s offense in check Monday, pulling away for a 39-22 victory in Blue Ridge Conference girls basketball action.

The Bearcats improved to 4-0 with the win, with the Wolverines dropping to 2-2.

Hendersonville built a 19-11 lead at the half, then slowly extended the margin in the final two quarters to secure the win.

Reeve Carroll had 11 points to lead Polk Middle, with Sofie Abrahamsen scoring six. Honesty Jackson had three points while Amiyah Waters finished with two.

Polk Middle travels Thursday to Flat Rock Middle for a 4:30 p.m. game.
