Staton sets Polk career record for assists in win over R-S Central

Polk County junior Bailey Staton became the school’s career record holder for assists during Friday’s 58-18 win over R-S Central.

Staton finished the victory with five assists, giving her 269 for career. That moves her past Briana Cunningham, who graduated in 2006 with 265 assists for her career.

Staton also holds the career record for 3-pointers and is second on the school’s all-time scoring list with 1,262 points.
