Staton sets career 3-pointer record in Wolverines’ loss

Polk County junior Bailey Staton is the school’s new record holder for career 3-pointers.

Staton’s second 3-pointer in Saturday’s 44-34 loss to Travelers Rest was the 106th of her career, moving her past Hayley Kropp. Staton finished with three 3-pointers and 14 points in the loss in the semifinals of the Knights Christmas Tournament.

Staton now holds the school record for most threes in a game (seven), season (59) and career (107 and counting).
