Polk County’s junior varsity girls basketball team secured a 31-15 road victory against East Rutherford Tuesday, building an early lead that proved insurmountable.
The Wolverines jumped out to an 11-0 advantage in the first quarter and extended the margin to 21-5 by halftime. The teams played evenly in the second half, each scoring 10 points.
Exziah Staley led Polk County’s offense with 11 points, while Honesty Jackson added seven. Beija Olivari contributed six points, Sofie Abrahamsen scored five and Amber Chupp finished with two points.

The win improved Polk County’s record to 7-4. The Wolverines will conclude their regular season on Friday at Brevard.
