Polk Middle’s season ends with tourney loss to Canton Middle

Top-seeded Canton Middle dominated the first half on the way to a 46-13 victory over Polk County Middle in Wednesday’s first round of the Blue Ridge Conference Tournament in Canton.

The Bears (11-2), the BRC West Division champions, built a 36-3 halftime lead and cruised to the victory.

Emily Dotson led Polk County Middle (5-10) with seven points. Ryleigh Dill added four and Izzy Irwin scored two.
