Reeve Carroll had a team-high 14 points in Wednesday's win

Polk County Middle continued on Wednesday its sizzling start to the season, racing past Apple Valley Middle 33-24 in Blue Ridge Conference girls basketball action at Polk.

The Wolverines are now 3-0 for the season. Apple Valley dropped to 0-3.

Scoring: Reeve Carroll hit a pair of 3-pointers and had 14 points to lead the Wolverines. Beija Olivari finished with eight points, with Sofie Abrahamsen adding six as Polk Middle found success in the frontcourt.

Cate Brown added four points, with Amiyah Waters scoring one.

Next up: Polk Middle travels Monday to Hendersonville Middle for a BRC East Division matchup.
