Polk Middle checks Brevard to maintain unbeaten start

Polk County Middle romped to a 30-8 victory Thursday over Brevard Middle in Blue Ridge Conference girls basketball action in Brevard.

The Wolverines improved to 4-0 ahead of a matchup Tuesday with Rugby, also 4-0. The East Division co-leaders will tip off at 4:30 p.m.

Polk Middle grabbed an 18-4 lead at halftime, then pulled away in the second half, including a 10-0 fourth quarter.

Mia Bradley scored 14 points to lead Polk Middle, with Charley Dusenbury adding seven points. Kylie Lewis had four points, with Gavionna Carson adding three and Leah Dotson scoring two.

The Wolverines dressed just seven players for the game.
