Polk JV girls fall in season opener

Polk County dropped a 55-5 decision Friday to Avery in junior varsity girls basketball action in Newland.

The game was the season opener for both teams.

Beija Olivari finished with three points for the Wolverines while Raney Tallon scored two.

The two teams meet again Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Polk County in the Wolverines’ home opener.
