Polk County’s Kayleigh Wilson finds an open teammate during Friday’s matchup

Owen’s junior varsity girls handed Polk County a 36-13 setback Friday in a Western Highlands Conference meeting at Polk.

The Wolverines (0-3) were led by Jessie Emory’s seven points. Three other players – Emily Prince, Kayleigh Wilson and DeAsia Green – each had two points.

Mattie Lehman had 14 points and Maesyn Gardner added 12 to lead Owen.

Polk County will next be in action on Friday, traveling to Mitchell for another WHC clash.
