Polk girls drop close one at East Henderson

Polk County poured in a season-high 50 points Tuesday night at East Henderson – but needed a couple of more.

East Henderson eked out a 51-50 win over the Wolverines in Polk County’s final non-conference tuneup before beginning Western Highlands Conference play on Friday. The Wolverines travel to Madison for their conference opener.

Hayley Kropp scored 22 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, handed out seven assists and had five steals for Polk County (2-3). Alana Seay had a season-high 12 points, with Bella Marino scoring five.

Kendall Hall had four points, Autumn Owen had three points and seven rebounds, Ansley Lynch had two points and five rebounds and Mariah Overholt had two points for Polk.
