Olivia Overholt scored 17 points Thursday to lead Polk County Middle School to a 37-22 win over Apple Valley in Blue Ridge Conference girls basketball action at Polk Middle.
Overholt’s effort helped the Wolverines overcome a determined Apple Valley squad and improve to 3-1 on the season. Apple Valley dropped to 1-3.
Sarah Wilson added eight points for Polk, with Lauren Dotson scoring five points and DeAsia Green and Tori Thompson each scoring three.

Polk Middle returns to the court on Monday, traveling to Hendersonville Middle for a 4:30 p.m. game.
