Polk County’s all-time leading scorer will be taking her basketball talents to the next level.
Wolverine senior Hayley Kropp has commited to play basketball at Guilford Technical Community College and will sign a letter-of-intent with the school.
Kropp averaged 26.3 points and 12.2 rebounds this season while wrapping up a career in which she scored 1,637 points. She set numerous game, season and career school records during her four-year career and was named the Western Highlands Conference player of the year this season.

Guilford Tech, a member of Region X, finished 19-10 this season, falling to Louisburg in the Region X Tournament semifinals. The Titans were ranked 23rd in the NJCAA Division II poll.
GTCC head coach Bobby Allison has won almost 400 games in his 14 seasons as a head coach at GTCC and Mohawk Valley Community College, where he took three teams to the NJCAA Division III national championship games. In his seventh season at GTCC, he led the Titans to the NJCAA Division II national tournament in 2015, the program’s first national tourney appearance.
Polk County’s athletic department will hold a signing ceremony for Kropp, likely next week.
