Polk County’s inside strength proved a difference maker Friday in Hendersonville.
The Wolverines placed three post players in double figures and two of those players recorded double-doubles in leading Polk to a 57-40 victory in a Mountain Foothills 7 Conference matchup in Hendersonville.
Polk (8-0, 2-0) trailed Hendersonville (2-3, 1-1) at the end of the first quarter. But the trio of Kiera Littlejohn, Kylie Lewis and Jayden Duncan helped kick the Wolverine offense into gear, and Polk opened a 30-24 lead at halftime.
