Hendersonville Middle surges late to top Polk Middle

1 min read

Hendersonville Middle staged a fourth-quarter rally Thursday to push past Polk Middle and hand the Wolverines a 33-29 setback in Blue Ridge Conference girls basketball play in Hendersonville.

The Wolverines (3-4) led entering the final quarter in what was a close game throughout. But Hendersonville (5-2) hit three 3-pointers in the fourth period en route to surging into the lead and taking the win.

“I’m proud of them,” said Polk Middle head coach Seth Taylor. “We played great overall, just got outhustled in the fourth quarter and we ran into foul trouble. We showed much improvement from Monday.”
