Polk County Middle’s girls basketball team wrapped up the first half of its schedule Thursday, dropping a tough 33-26 decision to Flat Rock in Blue Ridge Middle School Conference basketball play at Flat Rock.
Bre Kenan scored 12 points for the Wolverines (1-5). Ansley Lynch, Mariah Overholt and Makayla Staley each added four points.
Polk County is off for the holidays and will be back in action Jan. 6, traveling to Waynesville Middle.
