Kenzie Alm had 11 points in Thursday's win for Polk Middle

Polk County Middle quickly and efficiently left no doubt Thursday of the outcome of its game at Flat Rock.

The Wolverines built a 20-4 lead at the end of the first quarter, expanded the advantage to 23 points at halftime and cruised to a 40-15 victory over the Eagles in Blue Ridge Conference girls basketball action.

Polk Middle improved to 3-2 with the triumph. Flat Rock dropped to 1-4.

Reeve Carroll had 14 points and Kenzie Alm had 11 to help lead the Wolverines. Amiyah Waters added nine points, with Honesty Jackson, Sofie Abrahamsen and Preslie Bradley each scoring two points.

Polk Middle completes its three-game road trip on Monday, traveling to Brevard Middle for a 4:30 p.m. game.
