Polk qualifies three for 3A West Regional golf tourney

Three Polk County golfers will compete Monday in the 3A West Regional Tournament at Pilot Knob Park Country Club in Pilot Mountain.

Charley Dusenbury, Addie Buss and Reeve Carroll each earned a spot in the regional field. With three qualifiers, Polk County will also be scored as a team at the regional.

Tee times begin at 8:30 a.m.

Pine Lake Prep, East Rutherford and East Surry are the three qualifying teams competing in the regional. The top three players from non-qualifying teams and the top 33 individual players not on a qualifying team comprise the regional field.

The top three teams and top nine individuals not on a team will advance to the state tournament, scheduled for Oct. 27-28 at Longleaf Golf and Family Club.
