Polk County opened its girls golf season on Thursday with a nine-hole match at Tryon Country Club, hosting Hendersonville, East Henderson and Cherokee.
The Bearcats took top team honors, winning by 24 strokes, with East Henderson’s Ashley Cauthen earning medalist honors with a 40.
