Polk County Middle School head coach Lennox Charles, right, and the Wolverins will begin practice on Monday.

Polk County Middle School’s fall athletic teams are preparing to begin tryouts and practice for the upcoming season.

Students in grades 6-8 are eligible to participate in cross country, soccer and volleyball. Students in grades 7-8 are eligible to participate in football.

Athletes must have a current sport physical before they can tryout or practice. Sports physicals are good for one year. In addition, parents and athletes must complete a concussion information form before participating. Concussion forms and sports physical forms are available at the school office.

If you have a question regarding a sport or the status of your sports physical, please contact the school. 894-2215.
