Wolverines set for final tuneup at McDonald’s Jamboree

Polk County will get one final preseason test Friday night before turning its attention to the start of the 2026 football season.

The Wolverines will face host Chapman at 8 p.m. in the McDonald’s Jamboree at Chapman High School. The matchup is one of four scheduled scrimmages, with Chase facing Landrum at 6 p.m., Rabun Gap meeting Westside at 7 p.m. and Shelby taking on Greer at 9 p.m.

Tickets are $15 at the gate, with discounted tickets also available through GoFan for $13.60. Chapman officials also noted that the stadium has a clear-bag policy.

Friday’s scrimmage will be Polk County’s final preseason action before the Wolverines travel to Chase on Aug. 21 for their season opener.

With temperatures currently forecast to be in the high 90s Friday evening, officials from both schools have agreed to start next Friday’s game at 8 p.m.
