Polk County head football coach Dustin Fry

Polk County’s football program recently celebrated its 2023 football season with its annual postseason awards banquet.

Head coach Dustin Fry and coaching staff handed out awards during the event at Foothills Community Chapel in Columbus.

The Wolverines finished Fry’s first season with a 4-7 record, falling in the first round of the state 1A playoffs at Murphy.

Senior Antonio Simpson was named the Mountain Foothills 7 Conference Player of the Year and was joined on the all-conference squad by Jadyn Virgil, Lawson Carter, Loreynzo Sanchez and Keaundrae Green.

Those honored at the year-end ceremony included:
